Let me clarify something. I am not trying to put these websites down. I think they are fun, and good entertainment. Also, they are excellent ways of finding people to hang out with. But for true love, they will not work. This has been proven time and time again.

They are OK for meeeting people who you would like to hang out with. But if you are trying to find true love, they are not so reliable.

There are success stories of couples who have met through these platforms, but there is no way to know if they are true or not.

On the other hand, there are also many cases of people being catfished or manipulated by others. It is easy for people to create fake profiles and deceive others into thinking they are someone they are not. This can lead to disappointment and heartbreak when the truth is eventually revealed. And unfortunately, when this happens, it is too late. The damage has been done.

No Genuine Relationships

Online dating is not a good way to meet people, with the hope that a genuine relationship will develop. The profiles on those sites are based only on physical appearance, rather than personalities and values. This can lead to high expectations that may never happen. People can easily create a profile with free pictures from a site like Pixabay, and make others who view their profile think they are something different from what they really are. To form a meaningful relation, you need to truly get to know someone. Without meeting in person, a profile will tell you nothing about the person. In the end, this leads to misunderstandings and potential conflicts.
